Last Monday, as Dad, Mom, Royce and myself were headed toward OKC, we received a call from Brett telling us they were moving cattle to higher ground. Brett is in Bartlesville … and at that time, it was not even a sprinkle where we were! About 30 minutes later, he was sending pictures of them moving cattle feeders to higher ground and floating cattle out of the bottom lands. As we listened to Brett tell and send pictures of what was going on with him, I could not help but remember back when my dad, his “pe-paw” worked for Y Spence and there was an awful flood --- they floated many cattle out of the bottomlands out at Bridgeview – and they did it all by horseback … no 4-wheelers, no tractors … and amazing as it was then … they lost very few cattle … as it was last Monday for Brett and his crew … History does repeat itself! Way to go guys!!
